They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Whether they tell a story or capture a special moment, photographs reveal what words can only describe.

I love taking photos because of their diversity and beauty. Every image tells a story, and a good photograph does so in a spectacularly captivating way. With each passing moment, there are beautiful scenes to behold; wonderful moments that most take for granted. To me, these are some of the most important moments in life. Photography is a way to capture these memories and share them.
Every photo I take is a chance for me to learn.

Photography is much more than point-and-click. It requires a keen eye, a creative mind, and careful execution to turn a simple scene into a unique work of art. Being largely self taught, I took a while to learn all of these things. Much of my experience is through trial and error. I started knowing how to operate my camera and what basic functions meant, but had very little practice in photography. My first photos were often grainy, poorly exposed or out of focus, but I noted my errors and corrected them in future photos. I am now far more confident in my ability to not only shoot a unique photo, but also edit them to improve their quality and give them unique traits.
Since I began pursuing my love for photography, I have had the chance to learn in classes, photograph at events, and even create photo content for websites. All these opportunities have helped me grow stronger in my confidence and ability, and I am proud of the work I have done. No matter why I am taking photos, whether to build online presence, capture memories for friends, or just to have some fun, I can be confident in what I have learned and continue to build upon my skillset. I thoroughly enjoy making art through photography, and I am very eager to continue improving my abilities through experience.
